STONE LORD: The Legend of King Arthur, The Era of Stonehenge, by J.P Reedman
$1.27US on Amazon USA
Read a unique, immersive tale, set at the height of the era of Stonehenge. Gold glad chieftains lock in a struggle for territory, where the future of the realm is threatened by greed, lust and corruption. Only the unity from Ardhu's ring of stones can help bring order to the chaos.
A work of archaeological fiction, Stone Lord (Click here for MEGALITHIC PORTAL Book Review) was written off the back of the award-winning excavations at Blick Mead, Amesbury, close to Stonehenge. A hilltop fortress of the River Avon, a mesolithic spring head with over 20,000 flint tools unearthed including a very rare sword - Excalibur? A permanent settlement for the ancient peoples of Wessex for 10,000 years. The fictional setting for Ardhu's camp.
Drawing on references from Geoffrey of Monmouth & from the tales of the Mabinogion - Stone Lord weaves a magical tale that puts flesh on the bones of our Stonehenge ancestors, with vivid descriptions of what they wore, their lives, their rituals - all set within the forbidding shadow of Stonehenge.

Loved the concept of this book, a Bronze Age Arthur totally works for me. Merlin was a Shaman more than a Wizard in all the versions and to make him one and put him in the setting of a Bronze Age Stonehenge was very well done.
